Main computer is down, terribly frustrating! After much poking around and testing (at my limit of computer knowledge), I sought extra help.
Figured out (with a great amount of said help!) it's either the motherboard or the CPU. Discovered Intel discontinued the socket on said CPU, and if I want a replacement (same model) it's insanely expensive. If I want to get a different CPU I run into the issue of it not fitting my motherboard. So... I'm buying a combo MB/CPU deal which is a slight downgrade from what I have now. It's just the least expensive option. Seriously. If that one isn't powerful enough I'll have to return and shell out for a more expensive combo.
Hopefully I don't notice a real knock in performance, but in the mean time I do miss having a computer. The netbook I'm on now is very basic and I use it mostly for streaming artwork and/or recording video of marker works. It does this perfectly well and is not meant as a replacement computer.
I have almost all my art files via backup drives, but none of my music. Pandora gets me by most of the time, Spotify others.
I'm almost done with the KWS image and am working on cards I (unfortunately) cannot show (yet). I stream on Tigerdile (syrusbliz/Illustration by Liz), and announce the streams on Twitter. I will more than likely be streaming in the evenings/nights (EDT) this upcoming week, when I am not working on things I can't yet show. (Deadline for turn in 3/15.)
Oh, I have been taking progress scans of the KWS image and will post them all with the final. Right now I'm trying to fix a boo-boo then a bit of clean and highlights, then I should be done.
This has been your rambling journal.
New Cosmos is awesome.
