I worked on this brush set for a couple weeks or so; it's my first big resource endeavor. I noticed that some brush effects work better when you're adding a light value instead of a dark, so many of the brushes include an 'invert' version. The very large brushes are better for spot work; tap here, tap there, while the small brushes should chain together well.
This set contains scales, ridges, plates and large rough bumps for your reptile (or reptile-like creature) texture needs.
All of these brushes were made with Photoshop CS5 either from scratch or using photos from cgtextures.com (an amazing resource it itself).
It seems everyone has their own special policy or rules for using resources. I completely respect why their rules are in place, but for me, 90% of the time when I download a resource, especially brushes, I end up re-sorting and putting them into a special file and/or folder with similar resources. Keeping track of what I got from where when I use something... it becomes impossible. So I won't download a resource if I'm required to give credit and/or report back to the creator.
So my rules are simple:
Enjoy the brush set.
If you use it, feel free to post a link on this page to your piece so I myself and others can see what's been done. But don't feel pressured to.
I'd love to hear feedback on this set, so I can further improve on brush making in the future. Again, enjoy.
